Following my graduation from college in 1997, I immediately began working in what the Wall Street Journal deemed the hottest sector in the economy--the field of investment banking. Immersing myself into the world of corporate finance, I was intimately involved with numerous high-profile merger and acquisition deals. Drawn to the dynamic operating environment and the monetary compensation, I thought that I had finally found a calling that satiated my appetite for a challenging career. With the Dow Jones Industrial Average setting daily record highs and young twenty-somethings becoming overnight millionaires, I saw nothing but an endless expanse of opportunity to make a name for myself in the financial world.

Unfortunately, I took the normal Christian life for granted. Growing up in a Christian family, whose members were actively involved in the local churches, allowed me to develop a love for the Lord and an appreciation for the ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. However, I was never fully willing to give my entire being to Christ. Thinking my career was the key to my life's satisfaction, I put business success in the driver's seat and willingly relegated God to the backseat.

After three years of grueling toil for earthly success, I still remained unsatisfied. All my worldly accomplishments felt meaningless. At this point I realized that the only way for me to be completely satisfied was through a complete immersion in Christ. The practical carrying out of this complete immersion was the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. Currently in my final semester of this two-year program, I have re-discovered my joy in the Lord and can confirm King Solomon's assertion in Ecclesiastes that everything aside from God is vanity (Ecclesiastes 1:2-3). In Christ, I am completely satisfied.
